Testing Details – Fall Protection

The Gridmesh Anchor has been subjected to laboratory testing for compliance with a number of international Standards, including the performance requirements of AS/NZS1891.4, AS/NZS5532, ANSI Z359, Canadian OHS Code Sub-Section 152.1(2), EN795. We confirm that it has successfully passed the testing easily to both 15kN (3600lbs) and 22.2kN (5000lbs).

Additional 3rd party testing has been performed by the Department of Engineering at the University of Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia, to verify this performance and provide users with further peace-of-mind. Details of both static and dynamic testing to 15kN is shown below verifying compliance with the testing criteria of AS/NZS5532, along with static testing to 22.2kN.

Both 22.2kN (5000lbs) tests were undertaken on the same device, verifying that the device can be used by 2 users in Australia/New Zealand, as the minimum anchorage strength required under AS/NZS1891.4 is 21kN.

The 22.2kN (5000lbs) strength rating is the minimum strength requirement for a single anchor point under ANSI and OSHA, therefore rendering this device safe for use for one person in these jurisdictions.
